By creating an account or using PaceBudget ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. We may update these terms from time to time; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
PaceBudget is a personal budgeting tool that connects to your bank accounts through third-party providers (SimpleFIN, Teller) to track spending and calculate a daily spending pace. The Service is provided "as is" and is intended for personal, non-commercial use.
You must provide a valid email address and create a password to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You may not create accounts on behalf of others without their consent.
New accounts receive a 7-day free trial with full access to all features. After the trial period, a paid subscription is required to continue using the Service. Subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. You may cancel your subscription at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period.
When you connect a bank account, you authorize PaceBudget to retrieve transaction and account data through your chosen data provider. PaceBudget uses read-only access and will never initiate transfers or modify your bank accounts. You may revoke bank access at any time from the Bank Connections page.
You agree not to: (a) use the Service for any unlawful purpose; (b) attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems; (c) interfere with the proper functioning of the Service; (d) reverse engineer or decompile any part of the Service; or (e) use the Service to store or transmit malicious content.
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.
PaceBudget is a budgeting tool, not a financial advisor. The Service does not provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Budget calculations are based on the transaction data available and may not reflect all account activity. You are solely responsible for your financial decisions.
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to accuracy of calculations, availability of bank data, or uninterrupted access.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PaceBudget and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to financial losses based on budget calculations or data inaccuracies.
You may delete your account at any time from the Settings page. Account deletion permanently removes all your data and revokes third-party access. We may also suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
